Windows 10: Microsoft Edge not Working starts/shuts off immedietly

Hi Everybody,

I wanted to try Microsofts Edge but I get a weird thing happen.. I goto Launch from the Win 10 Start menu and it looks like it is going to start then turns off almost immediately.. I do not get an error message it just does not start and stay running..

I tried a trick where I reset /reinstall it with Powershell but that did not fix it.. I am on the Spring Creators Update still and was thinking maybe it was broke when I did that update..

Was wondering what else I can try to get it too work besides to do the reinstall trick with Powershell as I already tried that trick..

I am on Win 10 Home Edition Spring creators edition..

none of the information you gave me worked. the store says class not registered whenever i try to download anything and now microsoft edge wont launch starts to open the blue screen then shuts off.

Your Link is broke but it did not work anyhow.. you have to Web Server's Default Page before the link *Wink

 

Fixed the link, just in case someone else may need it. Sorry if that tutorial doesn't solve your issue. No doubt soon enough someone more knowledgeable will offer a solution.

 

NP thank you for the reply.. I was thinking just try the latest creators update and see if that fixes it but I really wwould like to put off updating for a month or two until they iron out any new problems that may have surfaced..

Recommend updating to the latest Win10 update. There are no major issues for the majority of users.

 

Well I did as it stated in the link there. I rebooted and it worked. I then imported my favorites and such shut the edge browser off when I was going to run it again it is back to not working like before???

 

I am trying too update Windows I will report back *Wink

 

I updated and Edge still did not work I reverted.. But I may just pass on Edge not worth it..

 

I have never failed to be disappointed with Edge. It seems to be bad at pretty much everything.
