Windows 10: Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 driver compatibility with full screen apps

Hi. My problem is the following:When I am using any full screen app and press Caps Lock or Num Lock, or Scroll Lock my app folds into background to show simple text notification "Caps Lock: on" in the bottom right corner of my wallpaper screen. This is very inconvenient and disrupts workflow since I have to Alt-Tab back and it usually takes a couple of second.I'm using Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000.I tried to disable this notification in various windows settings menus, but was unsuccessful. Later I got a hint that this pop-up may appear because of keyboard drivers, so I disabled my Mic

Hello Michael,

In Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 you don't need any of driver to run. Its just run so quickly and you don't need to install any kind of drivers to run this Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000.

Still as you already told above that you have installed Drivers then you have to first uninstall Drivers and connect again Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. I hope this might help you out.

I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Type troubleshooting in the search box and press Enter.
• Click on View All in the left navigation pane.
• Click on Hardware and Devices and follow the on-screen prompts for troubleshooting.

If the issue still persists, then download the drivers for the keyboard from the link provided below and install the same and check.

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 inputs wrong characters

I suggest you to connect the keyboard to a different computer and check if the issue persists.

If the keyboard does not function correctly on another computer, the keyboard maybe defective. If this is the case, and the warranty on the keyboard is still valid, you may exchange the defective keyboard for a new keyboard.

If the keyboard works fine on a different computer, try the methods listed below:

Method 1

Adjust Language settings:

• Open Settings and click on Time and Language.
  
• Choose Region and Language and make sure the language you’re using on your keyboard (the input language) matches the one you’re using on your PC (the display language).
  

Method 2

Update driver manually:

Install the latest drivers from Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 and check if
it works.

If the issue persists, you may get in touch with
