Windows 10: Microsoft Expanding the Designed for Xbox Ecosystem to Mobile Gaming Mobile

As Kareem Choudhry shared last month, our vision for Project xCloud is to empower gamers to play the games they want, with the people they want, anywhere they want. We’re building this technology so gamers can decide when and how they play. While the technology is a huge part of this experience, another important component is the physical hardware that you use to play your games, and when it comes to Xbox accessories, we always believe in providing choice for gamers.

Today, we’re excited to announce that we will be expanding the Designed for Xbox ecosystem to include mobile gaming. Our Designed for Xbox program enables collaborations with top-tier hardware partners to deliver not only choice but also the best possible Xbox gaming experiences across console, PC, and now, mobile.

What does this mean for gamers interested in Project xCloud (Preview)? Well, soon there will be a wide array of Xbox-branded partner devices that are focused on mobile gaming – think controller clips, mobile-first controllers, and other hardware optimized for phones and tablets. We are working on a roadmap of products with experienced partners and are currently in talks with 8bitDo, Gamevice, HORI, PowerA, Razer, and more, to explore creating the best possible hardware experiences for Project xCloud.

The first Designed for Xbox product created with Project xCloud in mind is the MOGA Mobile Gaming Clip for Xbox Wireless Controllers. Designed in partnership with the Xbox Industrial Design team, this is an adjustable clip made to fit all Xbox Wireless Controllers that secures your phone in place while you play. Expertly engineered, the clip features dual locking articulation points so you can always set up the perfect viewing angle and fits most phones up to 3.12” (79mm) wide. By combining this clip with a Bluetooth-enabled Xbox Wireless Controller, you’ll have a comfortable and familiar way to use precision input when gaming on the go. The MOGA Mobile Gaming Clip for Xbox Wireless Controllers will launch in November and is available to preorder now from Microsoft Stores and other select retailers in the United States and United Kingdom for $14.99 USD.

Going forward, we are continuing to work on expanding the compatibility of our official Xbox Wireless Controller to more mobile platforms. At this moment, when using your Xbox controller with a mobile device, your performance may vary depending on the device and the mobile operating system version. Apple recently began supporting the Xbox Wireless Controller across iOS 13, iPadOS 13, and tvOS 13 or later, and we’re excited to continue this partnership.

Expanding the Xbox Wireless Ecosystem with New PCs and Accessories

At Xbox, we’re continuously exploring new ways for you to get the most out of your gaming experiences by providing you with the choice to play how you want, where you want. Since the launch of the Xbox One, gamers have had the choice to use their accessories wired or wirelessly with their console, and we’ve expanded those options to Windows PCs with the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows, and more recently, the new Xbox Wireless Controller with built-in Bluetooth.

Today, we’re continuing to expand the way gamers can connect their Xbox One accessories to their PC by announcing the first PC with integrated Xbox Wireless — the Lenovo IdeaCentre Y710 Cube. With built-in Xbox Wireless, this PC supports all Xbox One wireless accessories — such as the Xbox Wireless Controller — straight out of the box, without needing any additional adapters or wires.

While this is the first partner device to have built-in Xbox Wireless support, it won’t be the last. We are currently working with other partners such as Astro, PDP, Turtle Beach, and many more. Going forward, you should expect to see both new PCs and new accessories that support Xbox Wireless as we create new ways for our fans to play seamlessly across devices. Our vision for Xbox Wireless

Windows 10 PCs with built-in Xbox Wireless support give gamers a number of premium ways to play together or alone. Exact implementation in our partners’ devices and accessories will vary based on the type of device and the partner themselves. In the IdeaCentre Y710, for example, we are using the Xbox Wireless Adapter and integrating it inside the physical chassis – the first time this has ever been done officially. In the future, we plan to enable direct integration of Xbox Wireless into PC motherboards with our hardware partners.

For gamers who are happy with their current PC rig, but still want to take advantage of Xbox Wireless, the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows is available now and can simply plug in to your Windows PC USB port.

And of course, your Xbox One or Xbox One S console already supports Xbox Wireless.

Through our partners, we plan to deliver a range of Xbox Wireless supported PCs and accessories such as headsets, joysticks, and other input devices. These partners include Astro, HyperX, Lenovo, Mad Catz, PDP, Plantronics, Razer, SteelSeries, and Turtle Beach. A great example of one of these accessories is PDP’s all new Rock Band Wireless Fender Jaguar Guitar Controller, found in the Rock Band Rivals Band Kit. By supporting Xbox Wireless, it will connect to your Xbox One with no need for dongles or wires.

New Idea Drives Just for You: Designed for Xbox and PC Game Bar Xbox

Greetings, Xbox Insiders! We’ve just launched a new pair of idea drives and are looking for your participation and input to help Team Xbox. If this is your first time hearing about Xbox Ideas, then you should know that Idea Drives are focused on a specific area and contain three different phases (Collection, Voting and Results). The information we gather from Idea Drives is then shared with various teams across Xbox!

We’re very excited about these new Idea Drives and can’t wait to see what ideas you have brewing.

Designed for Xbox

From fight sticks to racing wheels, network adapters to headsets, there is a wide variety of accessories available for the Xbox One and Windows 10 devices, but is there something that you think is missing? Some peripheral that you think would make your gaming experience that much better? Here’s your chance to contribute and let Team Xbox know what’s missing, what you would like to see, and perhaps even a brand or manufacturer you’d like to see partner with Team Xbox on creating licensed hardware.

Windows Mobile Device Center error

Sync center will provide the synchronization required. You will need to reconfigure the sync. Follow these steps:

Windows key + X > Control Panel > Sync Center

Select Sync step

Connect your device via USB
