  1. Microsoft Family is restricting access to browsers need a fix

Hi, my Microsoft account was originally set up on my Xbox as a child/member of a family that my parents controlled. I later used that same Microsoft account for my Windows PC. Recently, I have had to constantly ask my parents for consent to be able to use Google Chrome. I need Chrome so I can participate my school's mandatory Google Meets. I needed to constantly as to add 3 hours to use Chrome. But today, I ran out of time right before a meet started, and it was a big ordeal to get access to Chrome. So today, my parents and I decided to have my account leave the Google familyso we wouldn't have to keep doing this whole routine every day.

Now this is where my problem arises:
It was still restricting my account from using Google chrome even though I am an adult, and I had left the family. But, the even bigger problem was that now when I ask for consent, nobody gets an email; not me, not my parents. So now I am completely blocked from Google Chrome and have no way of accessing my meets.
I was wondering if anyone had a fix for this.

This is a list of all of the things that I have tried none have worked fully :
-Added myself back to the family as an Organizer and left

-Added myself back to the family as a child/member and left

-Added myself back to the family as an Organizer and was removed

-Added myself back to the family as a child/member and was removed

-I have messed with literally every setting as both the child and organizer

-Made my own family and just gave my self more time for every 3 hours temporary fix, but still annoying and a problem because I still lose all of my tabs every 3 hours

So, do any of you know a permanent fix for this? Thanks for reading!

    :)

Microsoft Family content restrictions not updating

    Hi,

I have (as parent) added a few websites to the 'Always blocked' list on the 'content restriction' section of my Microsoft Family account. This only seem to apply to the computer where I edited the online 'content restrictions' list. On other computers,
where I have accounts for my kids, those pages are still accessible. The computer doesn't seem to be synchronising with the online setting. How do I fix this please?

Microsoft Family is restricting access to browsers need a fix

    Microsoft family restrictions

    Hi,

You actually need your parent to turn off any restrictions on your account. I'm afraid you need to get yourself back to your family temporarily. These are the instructions for an adult account.

    • Go to account.microsoft.com/family and sign in with your Microsoft account.
    • To remove a child, find their name, then select Content restrictions. Turn off any settings you may have enabled. Then go back to your family’s page, find the child’s name again, and select More options > Remove
      from family.
    • If you want to remove a child because they’re now an adult, or if an adult account has been misclassified as a child account, they’ll need to verify
      their account
      .

I personally think you should be good without doing the third step, but I can't give you a guarantee.

Hope it does the trick. In case of any issues, I'm happy to help you more when needed. If it worked, please mark the answer as helpful.
