  1. Microsoft Family Safety screen time reporting

In Microsoft Family Safety, I can see my child's activity for today, and I can look at their activity over the last 7 days, but I can't see their activity on specific days in the past. Furthermore, even when I look at today's activity, I only see total hours and not details like what time an app was used and for how long. Is this level of reporting available somewhere, and I'm just not seeing it?

Furthermore, as I get ready to post this, why is there not a Microsoft Family category? Without being able to easily determine where to post questions like this, I feel like my question isn't going to be seen by the people who need to see it.

  2. Family Safety screen time stuck on old settings

    • I set up family safety settings under windows 8.
    • Configured screen time options to for only daytime, so as to prevent my son from using the computer too early or too late in the day.
    • I've upgraded the computer to Windows 10 (live update, not a fresh install).
    • Now I want to change the screen time settings for my son. Nothing I have attempted (short of clean install of Windows) has worked.
      • Changing time settings doesn't work
      • Turning off Screen Time doesn't help
      • Removing/Adding his account from family safety doesn't help
      • Removing/Adding the computer from family safety doesn't help
    • I don't see a Windows Family Safety service running on the machine, which is odd.
    • I really don't want to do a fresh Windows install.

    Any suggestions are welcome.

  4. Microsoft Family Safety screen time reporting

Microsoft Family Safety does not report websites visited

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community and also for providing us a detailed information about the issue.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. I am glad to assist you.

Just to confirm, Is the activity reporting turned on for your child account? If not you may turn on and check.

    • Sign in to
family on the Microsoft account website
      .

    • Select the child whose report you want to see, which will show you their Recent activity page.

    • If Activity reporting is turned Off, use the switch to turn it
      On.

Family Safety should be set by an administrator for the standard accounts.

Make sure your child account is a standard account.

Also, the Family Safety Filter refreshes its settings automatically at certain times, but if you notice that web content isn't being filtered the way you would like or if you don’t see activity reported as you expect,
you can refresh the Family Safety Filter manually.

The Family Safety Filter refreshes its settings automatically when:

•A child asks a parent in person for permission to view a specific website. After the parent signs in with a Microsoft account and clicks Allow or Block for the website in question, the Family Safety
Filter is updated on that PC.

•A parent with administrator privileges signs into Family Safety, adds or changes user accounts monitored by Family Safety, and saves the changes.

You may refer the following article to refresh the Family Safety Filter:
