Windows Airplane Mode Won't Turn Off

Since no one has agreed to help at all with this fix, perhaps if I make specific data requests that would be useful for the fix-list I am creating. Please respond with the following info:

No, I am not Microsoft related in any way:

    Brand of computer:

    Laptop, Desktop or ??:

    Windows version (10, 8 7, etc.)

    Windows fully updated?

    When did problem start?

When was it finally fixed? By whom?

I have seen claims that the Anniversary Update fixed this problem; do you agree?

If you found a fix, please give a brief description of what it was:

    2. copy the database folder on C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\TileDataLayer

    3. turn on and off Windows Search, Windows Notification, etc

  5. Nice, but - I have never seen a cumulative update (in Windows 10), in which there were no problems . (Not for me!)
Perhaps these issues should be resolved first !? *sarc

That is good news, as long as there are no caveats.

Hopefully this brings us one step closer to returning to the old way that updates were done- let ME decide which updates to install on MY computer.

  7. Good news for them who might be having trouble and have gone back to windows 7, 8, 8.1.
I have been one of the lucky ones up to now my upgrade went with a hitch apart from one driver that needed an update.
    Since then trouble free.
But would be nice what updates do as I do like reading up on them and learning more about what it improves

Microsoft Finally Agrees to Provide Info on Windows 10 Updates

This is good news, i hope they go all the way and allow people to delay them on home version or not install them at all.

I do understand why Microsoft want updates (especially security updates) on machines as soon as possible, but overall I think an attitude of 'Let the user decide' is a much better one, those who have little or no knowledge of what they are doing tend to leave automatic updates on anyway.
