Windows 10: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Version 1.11.6.0 Crashes Every Time

Hi, I had originally downloaded Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 on my Windows desktop via the Microsoft Store in October 2020 and had no issues running the game for weeks. I recently downloaded the latest 1.11.6.0 patch and the crashes on a black screen when it tries to load every time back to the desktop.


I have attempted the following steps to fix the issue with no luck:

- Uninstalled / re-installed Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 via the Microsoft Store

- Installed graphics card gaming portal software GeForce Experience to load game

- Updated graphics card drivers to latest version


System Setup:

- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

- Graphics Card: GeForce RTX 2080 Super Driver Version 457.51

- RAM: 16GB

- Windows 64Bit


I had downloaded multiple updates to MSFS 2020 since October including Japan and Halloween updates with no issues. It seems that update 1.11.6.0 has completely destabilized the game on my system with nothing else changing. Any suggestions or do I need to wait for the next patch?

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

Hi,

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 crashes to desktop just before loading the flight 100% of the time with exception code 0xc0000005. Since I’ve downloaded the game (09/25/2020) I couldn’t get in to the cockpit not even once. Is there a way to fix this
issue?

Could you please perform the store clear cache, download and re-install the flight simulator. and verify if it will function this time without crashing

Steps:

1 Close the Microsoft Store app if currently open.

2 Press the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog.

3 Type WSReset.exe into Run, and click/tap on OK.

4. Uninstall the Microsoft Flight Simulator

5. Open Microsoft Store app. download Microsoft Flight Simulator

6. install the Microsoft Flight Simulator

7. run as admin the Flight Simulator

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

Hi. I have two questions:

1) I have been using Flight Simulator since its release on Aug 18. Today, I stated the Simulator, it loaded OK, I created a free flight, clicked on Fly, when I tried to use the joystick and keyboard to start and use the simulator, they both did not work
and would not control anything...they were unresponsive. Checked the Controllers section in the Simulator set up section and the keyboard and Thrustmaster M1600 Joystick were listed and the keyboard and joystick action assignments were still there and responded
when I clicked a joystick button and keyboard key....the assignment box in the Controller section responded when I pressed a key or button. Rebooted the computer with no change. Do you have any suggestions?

2) How do I uninstall and reinstall MSFS 2020 in the event that is the only way to fix this problem? Please provide instructions and where to download the MSFS 2020 Premium Deluxe Edition from.
