Windows 10: microsoft forced me 1803 with update assistant

while i was watching some youtube i left my laptop for a minute and update assistant poped up on my screen and i said i restarted to update it and it updated i go back to 1709 and the assistant is back i uninstalling it but reinstalling again whatever im trying to do to uninstall this update assistant **** it comes back again thanks microsoft for this **** and dont force peoples to update their pcs cuz if they work on their pcs they will loose all of their work like word documents and other stuff they are working on dont force me to update my windows cuz im gona switch back to windows 7 and never gona windows 10 ever ever again

• What is the make and model of your PC?
• How did you upgrade your computer to Windows 1803?
• Did you get any error messages?
• Do you have a 3rd party antivirus installed on your PC?

Normally, if your PC meets the requirements for the upgrade, it will be offered to you. If your PC doesn't have an incompatible hardware, then we can proceed with troubleshooting steps.

 

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

 

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

• Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
• Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
• Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

• Go to Settings.
• Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
• Select add someone else on this PC.
• Enter a user name and hit next.
• Click on Finish.
• Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
