Windows 10: Microsoft Forms now available for personal use to consumers

Today, weâre excited to announce the availability of Microsoft Forms for personal use. Forms enables you to create a survey or quiz on any topic and works on any device via the web and the Office mobile appâ making it easy to capture the information you need anywhere, anytime.

With easy-to-use tools and clear design suggestions, you can gather input and make plans for a variety of activities âsurvey your neighborhood friends for a weekly running time, coordinate your holiday gathering with family, or even host a virtual trivia night with friends from any location. Working through virtual learning this year? Use Forms to engage with students or create fun and interactive quizzes with the option to add video. Parents needing to organize fundraisers or other school activities can use Forms to easily collect information and ideas from other families.

Forms for personal use is available today and complements our existing experiences for business and education. It is free for anyone with a Microsoft account, with premium features such as an expanded number of respondents and more templates available to Microsoft 365 Personal and Microsoft 365 Family subscribers.

Templates and themes offer creative design and AI-powered intelligence

With Forms, you can easily create, run, and analyze the results of your surveys and quizzes. Leveraging built-in intelligence, Forms does the heavy lifting for you by making smart template suggestions as you go, including recommended themes, plus additional questions and answer options based on what you type in the title.

You can customize each form for any scenario â from holiday planning to sports team organization â by selecting from a variety of themes and templates. The dozen templates available include invitations for holiday and birthday parties, feedback surveys, and even a t-shirt size sign-up form to help with team orders. Themes vary from events to holidays, travel, learning, food, and more â or you can use your own photos to personalize your form.

Once your form is ready, you can share it out via a link or QR code that can be accessed from virtually anywhere â from any device at any time. With real-time responses and automatically generated charts, your results are at your fingertips; Forms makes it easy for you to understand the results quickly and easily. Plus, you can export your results directly to Excel for additional analysis.

Microsoft Forms Public Preview is now available for consumer users

Microsoft Forms is a simple, lightweight tool for creating surveys and quizzes. Millions of people have used Forms since we released it for education and commercial organizations. Today, we’re extending Forms Public Preview to individual users for a variety of home scenarios.

With Forms, you can easily create, run, and analyze results from surveys and quizzes. By simply sharing a link or QR code, your friends and family can access your form from virtually anywhere, on any device, and at any time. With real-time responses and automatically generated charts, Forms makes it easy for creators to quickly understand the results and take the right next step.

Starting a new Form is easy - simply click on “New Form” or “New Quiz” to start creating your form. Then you can add a title and a few questions within clicks before you can share to collect responses.

Microsoft Forms is for you and everyone. Here are some scenarios to get you started, but you can create any use as you need.

A parent can create a registration form for a new neighborhood soccer game to get other parents organized
A community member can poll their neighbors about community event ideas to find out the preferences on the types of an event, timing and any other information
A party organizer can send a questionnaire to attendees about food preferences, such as who is vegetarian, vegan, needs to avoid dairy, collect RSVPs and such

Microsoft announces 100% integration of Office.com and Microsoft Forms

We are thrilled to announce 100% integration of Office.com and Microsoft Forms for our commercial and consumer customers! This means multiple ways for you to create a new form, find an existing form, or search for a form in the suite header of Office.com.

To create a new form, click New, and then choose Forms survey.

To access existing forms, go to the Recent tab under Documents.

You can also search for an existing form by title.
