Windows 10: Microsoft Gamebar capture resolution error

I have an Inspiron 15 7000 gaming edition with Windows 10, have been using it to play, record and stream games for years with no issue until very recently. (within the last two weeks)

Microsoft/Xbox Gamebar, an app that lets me record game footage at the press of a button on my controller, has suddenly decided to stop recording at the proper resolution, leaving black borders along the bottom and right side of the captured video.

Now, technically, I found a solution to this. If I go into settings, display, and display scale, which defaults at 125%, and set it to 100%, that fixes Gamebar's capture resolution so that it fills the entire screen. However, as a consequence, literally all of the text is now 25% smaller and, as a boomer with boomer eyes, I'd really rather not make the text on my computer smaller than it already is, and this was never a problem until a couple weeks ago.

Is there any way I can fix the resolution on Gamebar's recording feature 'without' altering the display scale in settings?

Restore Default Gamebar Capture location

I understand that you want to restore the default location for GameBar Captures, I’ll help you with the steps to do this.



Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows Logo key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Gaming and select
   Captures from the left pane.
   
3. Click on Open folder to open the current capture folder.
   
4. Now, right click on an empty space in the folder and select
   Properties.
   
5. Click on Location tab, and select
   Restore Default.
   
6. Click on OK and select Yes (Twice) to confirm the change.

I am an Independent Microsoft Advisor. Press Windows + G to open gamebar then click on Settings (Icon). Now navigate to "Capturing" and then choose "Game + enabled mic" under "Audio to record".
