Windows 10: Microsoft Jigsaw selected puzzle not opening

After purchase of new Surface Pro 6 I loaded down my favorite jigsaw puzzle games including Microsoft Jigsaw which I had used before but not on my Surface Pro 4. I was able to select and play a Classic Jigsaw puzzle and things seemed as they should except.......since that time I have selected puzzles many times getting the "puzzle load" screen working, working then get the black screen of death and back the home screen even as if I had closed Microsoft Jigsaw altogether.


It did work once after a full shutdown to finish one puzzle but has not loaded a puzzle or responded since that time after multiple reboot


Since I am not a Facebook user there is no way to communicate the problem within the app itself.

Microsoft Classic Jigsaw Puzzles - How to re-look at solved puzzles

Method: Check last played game.

1. Open Jigsaw Puzzle.
   
2. Search for My account and you will see images below
   My account, click on the image and all your last solved puzzle will be there.

Microsoft jigsaw will not download any more puzzles.

I see that you are facing issues with the download of Microsoft Jigsaw puzzle.

Please answer the below questions to assist you better.

Is the system connected to Proxy server?

Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Reset Windows Store Cache.

I would suggest you reset the Windows app store and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Steps:-

1. Press
Windows Key + R.

2. Type,
WSReset.exe and hit Enter.

Please try these troubleshooting steps

1. Open Cortana

Enter troubleshoot as a keyword in Cortana’s search box.

Select Troubleshoot to open the list of troubleshooters in Settings.

Select Windows Store App and click Run the troubleshooter

Go through the app troubleshooter’s resolutions.

2. Reset MS Jigsaw

Open the Cortana app.

Enter the keyword ‘apps’ in the search box, and then select to open Apps & features.

Scroll down the app list and select MS Jigsaw.

Then click Advanced options to open the settings shown directly below.

Press the Reset button.

A small box then opens stating that the option resets the app’s data. Press the Reset button there to confirm.

Restart Windows after resetting MS Jigsaw.

3. Reset the Microsoft Store Cache

Open the Win + X

Select Run to open that accessory.

Then enter ‘wsreset.exe’ in Run.

4. Check for App Updates

Go to the Microsoft Store tile on the Start menu to open that app.

Click the See more button at the top right of the MS Store app.

Select the Downloads and updates option to open a list of updates.

press the Get updates button to check for updates.
