Hello.
i had a problem with my windows installer didnt change from manual to automatic

and it was recommended to make a ‘safe boot’.

while i tried to do that, i pressed on system configurations something with ‘minimal options’ and rebooted.

since then few hours now i cant log in back to my microsoft account because it claims my password is incorrect although it was correct

and yet still after changing the password it doesnt work. It seems it is not connected to the internet so it will not know i changed it as well.

i tried all the recommended options about pressing Shift while restarting and tried -ALL- the options in these menus.

i was to afraid to change system BIAS with out the right knowledge though.

nothing works, and im locked while i need the computer to function urgently.

please help.

This is what I did.

• Press the Win+R keys, type msconfig in box and press Enter;
• Switch to Boot tab, and click on Safe Boot check box;
• Choose the type of Safe Mode: Minimal or Network;
• Click OK and restart your PC;

When PC restart, cannot accept my password

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???

I suggest you to perform Safe Mode with Networking and then try to change the password.

Method 1: Safe mode.

Please follow below steps:

    Click on power button at left bottom corner, press and hold
    Shift key and click on Restart.
    
  • 
    Click on Troubleshoot.
    
  • 
    Click on Advanced options.
    
  • 
    Click on Startup Settings.
    
  • 
    Click on Restart.
    
  • 
    Login to Microsoft Account and create a new administrator account.
    

If you’re not able to login using Microsoft account then refer to below steps and check if it helps.

Method 2:
Activate Inbuilt Administrator Account.

Follow the below steps:

    Click on power button at left bottom corner, press and hold
    Shift key and click on Restart.
    
  • 
    Click on Troubleshoot.
    
  • 
    Click on Advanced options.
    
  • 
    Click on Command Prompt and enter following command.
    
    net user Administrator /active:yes
    

Now reboot your system and login to inbuilt admin account and try to reset password for other account. Once you reset password login to other account and to deactivate inbuilt admin account enter following command in elevated command prompt.

net user Administrator /active:no
