Windows 10: Microsoft Malicious Malware Removal Tool needed ?

There seems to be a difference of opinion amongst Moderators over the need for The Malicious Malware Removal Tool. We know Free Malwarebytes is good but it is only a call upon Scanner when needed, usually to remove PUPs. Although Windows Security can be set now to do that. But does MMRT sit actively in the OS with a monitoring function to help safeguard Windows Security or is it a call upon App. A respected and prominent Moderator stated it is needed to prove the Sanity of Windows Security and the OS. Can we just relax and leave it all to Windows Security and update each day. I welcome your opinions thanks

When the MSRT runs, it will remove the malware listed on the Microsoft Support website if the malware is on your device. During a malware check, a report will be sent to Microsoft with specific data about malware detected, errors, and other data about your device. If you do not want MSRT to send this data to Microsoft, you can disable MSRT's reporting component.
