Windows 10: Microsoft modern keyboard with fingerprint ID not connecting via USB

Hello,I have a new Microsoft Modern Keyboard with fingerprint ID - Model NO.:1780 - It's new from deadstock I guess, and never was opened.I try it to connect with the USB cable to multiple computers, but none of them recognize it.I tried it with another cable, but still nothing, only charging indication with this cable too.No USB connection sound.No pop-up window, and no device on the list.Yes, I tuned it on with the switch.The charging led over the up arrow when connected with the USB cable sometimes blinking, then it's just ON signaling it's fully charged. I never saw it in RED.The NumLock,

Anyone with the Microsoft Modern fingerprint keyboard ?

No, haven't tried it. Like @Bill_Bright says, keyboards are a very personal choice

 

Modern Keyboard with Fingerprint ID does not connect to Bluetooth

My modern keyboard with fingerprint ID does not connect to the bluetooth. When connected via the USB it shows "USB Keyboard with Fingerprint ID" in the bluetooth list but says "Driver is unavailable" under that. I tried downloading the driver ("KeyboardwithFingerprintIDInstaller_32bit_ENG_1.0.162")
and when going through the installation it says "Installation Failed". I have also checked and have Windows 10 (Build 10.0.16299) and my laptop is Bluetooth 4.0 enabled.

 

Microsoft Modern Keyboard with Fingerprint ID Bluetooth Problem

Hello,

I bought a microsoft modern keyboard with fingerprint id few days ago, but it cannot build a bluetooth connection with my computers. I also own a Surface mouse, and it works properly, so I am quite sure that my computers have no problem.

I tried all the trouble shooting steps on the help page (Troubleshoot problems with your Microsoft mouse or keyboard - Microsoft Support), but the problem persists.

Can anyone help me?
