Windows 10: Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center - Macro recorder in other apps

This didn't fit in any other categories so I put it here.


I've just received a Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2000 as a birthday gift and after finding out that there was the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center and I found out that there was a macro recorder embedded within it. I want to record the macro while I'm in another program but I can't seem to be able to do it.


Does anyone know if doing this is possible and if it is how to do it?

In Microsoft mouse and keyboard center when I did a macro and tried record the home key fail. I have Windows 10 Home 1809 and Microsoft mouse and keyboard center 12.181.137.0 but it is a failure that I repeat at many computers with many mouses and so.

How do I record mouse clicks with Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center?

How do I record mouse clicks with Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center? I know how to add key strokes in. I just can't figure out how to have MM&KC click on a tab before doing an Alt + S (save). I need it to click a tab, save, then move the mouse right a
bit to click a tab and save again.

It’s a great idea to take advantage of the option to record mouse clicks, especially, with the tasks that you want to achieve. Having said that, as part of the requirement, your mouse should have a
Macro Record button. This will give you option to record macros while you're running a program or playing a game. Then, you can edit these macros later using the
Macro Editor in Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center. In line with your concern, I'd like to know the model and make of your device.
