Windows 10: Microsoft Photos App Won’t Allow Color Printing

The thread I wanted to post in was closed, so I hope to be able to share a solution we found for this problem. No matter what we did, the app kept defaulting to monochrome, giving us grayscale pictures and documents.


Our solution was to take a USB cable and connect the printer to the computer directly, not using wireless. Instant success. My husband says the wireless and the hardwire use different drivers, and apparently, at least in our case, makes all the difference.


This is a problem that really needs fixing, but until it is, try hard wiring your printer to your computer and see if it works for you.

Macrium is used frequently in this forum. There are experts in using it to recover drives. It's unclear as to why you are struggling to use it. I had not used it and just tried it for the first time and it went smoothly. Maybe these images might help?

 

Printing a photo on windows 10

You can use Windows Photo App to print the photos in windows 10.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key and type Photos.
• Select the photo.
• Right click on the photo.
• Select print option.
• Then you will be able to print photos.

Photos will not print in color

When trying to print a color photo from the PHOTOS selection, it will not print or display in color why? However pritures can be printed in color from all other designations such as one drive etc...

How do I resolve this problem?
