Windows 10: Microsoft, please fix the parasitic language keyboard settings of Windows 10

I can only delete the parasitic keyboard from regedit but then it reappears.

Microsoft developers, please fix this in your next update!

I got this UK keyboard out of nowhere that I never selected. It doesn't even appear on the normal language settings. I can see Greek and US which is what I have selected..yet on the taskbar shortcut it shows English UK as well as the other two.


I'm sure you can fix this in your next update, thanks for reading.

Windows 8.1 update changed the language, can't change back

Maybe, these will help... it seems it is a common enough problem.

Language packs are no longer available after you upgrade to Windows 8.1

Change your Windows display language

Language setting in Windows 10

In Windows 10 you have to download different languages like Spanish French etc. and add to keyboard. Every time you want to change language you can use the short cur
Windows key + Space bar.

Follow the steps below to download language in Windows 10.

• Click on Start menu and select Settings.
• Click on Time and language; Click on Region and Language.
• Under Language click on Add language.
• Choose the language from the list and click on it.

Refer the step to setup Keyboard for language.

• Click on Language and tap/click on Options.
• Click on Add a Keyboard.

Keyboard and language settings

There could be a number of factors as to why you are experiencing keyboard and language issue in Windows 10. I'd like to know more about your concern. Kindly provide us a screenshot of your Region & language settings so we can have a closer look.

Meanwhile, I suggest that you remove and re-add the German keyboard layout. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Setting > Time & Language > Region & Language.
   
2. Under Languages, select English (United States), and then click
   Options.
   
   
   
   
   
3. Under Keyboard, select German and then click
   Remove.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Restart your computer and then re-add the German keyboard layout and set it as your default keyboard.
