  1. Microsoft Purchase Scam

Hey guys 1st time here, just thought I'd share this since I haven't seen anyone else report this.

Anyways this is another scam similar to the ones where you'll get spooked into contacting a listed "Microsoft tech support". A support who sounds like he just learned english and insists regardless of what you say that you need to give him control of your computer and probably your Credit/Debit card number to fix your supposed problem.

So I woke up saw a supposed purchase from the Microsoft store for a Microsoft Surface computer. Barely waking up and spooked I called the listed number to cancel the purchase. Then I was met with a familar voice that sounded like he just learned english. Long and short he asked me to turn on my computer and give him control so he could fix the issue. Also familar. T

So I hung up at that point, and started digging, the number was almost identical to the last 3 numbers I have blocked(just the last 4 digits are different), and is fairly new. The email looks nothing like the average microsoft purchase email if you compare it to an actual one. Should've been tipped of when the support number was placed at the verysame top of the email.

Don't be fooled by the purchase ID or the Microsoft logo. If you get this email and think it's real call Microsoft from their actual number not the one on the email.

    :)

  3. Scam?

No, that's not a Microsoft phone number.

All these kind of pop-ups/alerts are fake warnings - scams. Never ever call these numbers.

    Please read:
