Windows 10: Microsoft Research Network Speed Test

The Network Speed Test Supplied with windows 10 default apps seems not to be reporting my true network speed as various others products do. Where could we find out what server it is pinging and to be able change to a more local server. the results i get with this Speed Test is 9.12 Mbs download but other product including the newest Microsoft App for Speed Test by Ookla shows 50 Mbs download. Love the Network Speed Test app by Microsoft Research. I did however notice that on the rare occasion where the planets are aligned when my broadband provider is not throttling me that when performing the test the download speed count in the center of the
app shows me well exceeding 50 Mbps with no let up, but the final speed capture is always lower when it clearly was sustained significantly higher. I know, a good problem to have, but I was curious as to why it doesn't capture the sustained top speed. Again,
love the simplicity of the app. Well done.

UDPDATE-Well it just did what I said it was not doing. It must be me or a quirk of some sort.

Microsoft network speed test

Hi Andre,

Thanks for that info very handy for pinning Apps, But unfortunately Microsoft network speed test
Is not on the list that is my problem the only way I can open it is through the MS store
