Microsoft reveals new Windows 10 business adoption figures

Microsoft recently revealed that Windows 10 is running on more than 700 million devices across the world and last week the at Build 2018 developer conference announced the new Windows 10 business adoption figures. Microsoft says that no less than 200 million businesses are using the company’s latest Windows 10 operating system.

Belfiore said that deployment of Windows 10 is “really ramping up” in the enterprise. The adoption of Windows 10 is improving, and the company goes on to add that no less than 200 million is part of the business world.

“Right now, there are over 200 million people in corporate accounts using Windows 10,” Belfiore said. “We’ve seen that [Windows 10] adoption rate increase now at 79% year-over-year growth,” he added. “The 200 million resonates with me, based on what I’m hearing from clients,” said Stephen Kleynhans of Gartner Research.

It looks like Windows 10 is growing in all markets, and not only in the consumer segment. A report recently confirmed that more and more schools are adopting Windows 10 over other platforms.

Windows 10 is projected to grow at a much faster pace in the enterprise market this year because Microsoft will end support for Windows 7 in 2020. The large organizations are expected to start the migration this year to complete it on time.

Majority of businesses and organizations are already finalizing their software and preparing the transition to the OS.

The current pace of Windows 10 makes it easy for Microsoft to reduce the number of devices running Windows 7. The majority of the systems will be upgraded to Windows 10 by next year, and government organizations such as NHS has already initiated the migration process.

Microsoft is apparently pleased with the current Windows 10 adoption speed, and the adoption is likely to improve after the latest release of the April 2018 Update.

  2. Multiple Microsoft Accounts for business users

You have probably been here, but have tried this section that is dedicated for business users?

Windows for Business: Powered by Cloud Intelligence

Despite being something of a windows phone, fan boy, I have to admit that windows phone is still lacking on many consumer features. In many areas, it has the worst possible implementation of features (The dreadful music player comes to my mind). So unless
there are some specific MS services that you believe will help your employees out, it is hardly ready for business adoption.
