Microsoft rolls out cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1703

Microsoft is busy with the rollout of the latest version of Windows 10 called April 2018 Update but the company is also supporting the systems still running the old operating system. Microsoft is today rolling out a new cumulative update for systems running Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703).

Microsoft launched Windows 10 Creators Update or version 1703, codenamed “Redstone 2” on April 11. It was the third major update to Windows 10 with focus on creativity and productivity. Microsoft has shipped two major updates after the release of Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703).

If your system is still running the old version of Windows 10, you can today download a new cumulative update which addresses the reported bugs. Microsoft is today delivering KB4103722 to all Windows 10 Creators Update devices with the focus on non-security improvements.

    KB4103722 Windows 10 Build 15063.1112 Full Changelog

Windows 10 Build 15063.1112 is a pretty big update with a lot of changes, fixes and improvements. Microsoft has fixed a reliability issue in .NET applications when using a Japanese IME in a text box.

The company is also addressing an issue where some Bluetooth devices do not work properly in Windows 10 due to connection errors. Microsoft has also fixed an issue in Microsoft Outlook 2013 were Autodiscover does not work when UE-V is enabled. Microsoft also addressed an issue with Performance Monitor on some systems where a bug prevents users from adding performance counters to the Performance Monitor.

Last but not the least, a compatibility issue with BitLocker has been finally addressed. The other improvements are specifically aimed at enterprises.

The patch is still rolling out and it would become available for download in the coming days. Microsoft says that the update is only supposed to improve reliability and no new features are being introduced.

Microsoft is not aware of any known issues in this cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1703. It’s likely that after installing the patch the system would run pretty smoothly.

On the other hand, the newly-released Windows 10 April 2018 Update hasn’t received any new cumulative updates today. Microsoft might ship a new patch for Windows 10 April 2018 Update next month as the number of bugs reported in the OS is growing every day.
