    Microsoft rolls out Windows DVD Player for Windows 10 users


    Just did a clean install on my Media Center PC. Before the clean install I had the DVD Player App. Now I don't. Will keep checking though. I ran Windows update a couple of times already. *Sad

    it has to see media center to get the app.. any re-installation of windows 10 does not see media center...

    as a test try the RESET feature after the dvd player app has been installed

    I had the DVD app after upgrade from 7 Home Premium, but have since lost it..

    problem is I do not remember if I re-installed the OS or RESET the OS

    So, what's lame is you Only get it on an upgrade installation,,,

    I never ever got it with an upgrade from Windows 7 Ultimate. I had to do the upgrade again from 8.1 Pro with Media Center to get it. Clean install on the same PC and its gone again.

    Heh, Bluray apps go for $50, and it's not until you got to $80 or so that they can properly handle the java-based disc menu.

    Through Googling I found a free blu ray player that works in Windows 10 and it even plays Disney blu ray disks.

    Do a Google search for Leawo Blu-ray Player.

    According to one blog, it use to be a pay program but now the company website is offering it for free.

    Hmm.. it does seem to have a nice interface. It doesn't have very many reviews though, nearly all search results are for the website or suspect mirrors.
