Windows 10: Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse not working properly

Hello,


I have a question about my Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse. I've been using both mouse and keyboard for quite some time and I encountered no problems.


Unfortunately, last week the mouse partially stopped working - meaning that it moves but I can click on buttons only within one window usually the last program opening after startup. Once I close that program, I cannot click anything and the focused window also loses its focus. The only way how can I then control the system is via keyboard which works well. If I unplug the dongle before startup, I can control the OS normally via touchpad, if I plug it in again, it immediately stops working again.


Because of this problem, I thought I would be a problem of drivers, so I updated them with an app from your site https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-us/d/sculpt-ergonomic-mouse, but nothing happened. I updated Windows to the latest version but nothing happened. Also, I encountered a problem with the "back button" on the mouse the side button next to the blue Windows one, which I cannot click for some reason for some already. It kind of seems like something inside is broken. Is it possible that this could cause the problem?


I really like the mouse and I don't really want to get rid of it but I have no idea how to solve my problem anymore.

New Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse

My previous Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse has the rubber on the side coming off. Purchased a new mouse, same kind. Now the new mouse works fine but now the Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard is not working. Will the new ergonomic mouse work with my 'old'
ergonomic keyboard? If so, what do I need to do?

Sculpt Ergonomic mouse

Hi,

Is it possible to connect a wireless Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic mouse (L6V-00002) with a wireless receptor (the wireless key) from another mouse of the exact same model? I lost my wireless key, but manage to find another from another broken Sculpt Ergonomic
mouse.

Microsoft Ergonomic Sculpt Mouse - Quick Movements Cause Incorrect Movements

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

Please confirm the following things for me.

1. What is the make and model of your system?
   
2. Was there any major change on your system prior to which you were able to use the mouse without any issues?
   
3. Does the issue with the mouse occur when it is used on a different system?
   

I would suggest you to update the driver for your mouse under ‘Mice and other pointing devices’. You can follow the steps in this article on ‘Update
drivers in Windows 10’ and uninstall the mouse driver.

Please visit this link to download and install the driver for your ‘Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse’.
Kindly restart the system and check if this worked out for you.
