    Microsoft Security Essentials is suddenly considering an application a virus and deleting it


    Hi,I'm the software engineering manager for a semiconductor equipment manufacturing company. One of the critical applications that runs on our equipment is suddenly being detected as a virus and then automatically deleted Started today, 5/10/21. This application is running around the world and has been running fine for several years. The application is developed in .NET and is responsible for machine control. How can I get this application removed from the "black list"? Thank you,Steve

    not     compatible with Windows 10. It was created and available for earlier Windows versions (XP, Vista, 7).

    Windows 10 comes with in-built anti-virus program Windows Defender

    You need to do some scans.
