I was having an issue loading a program on my computer so I wanted to try running my Windows 10 computer in safe mode. I enabled safe mode via msconfig and checked the "With Network" option. I then restarted my computer and it brought my to my login in safe mode. The login screen shows my name and the normal space for me to enter my password. The issue is I couldn't remember my password and since the computer is in safe mode I can't use my pin number. The computer shows that it isn't connected to the internet and there is no power button on the screen. When I click on the internet connection button next to the power button on the login screen it just shows an option for airplane mode. I didn't notice that my PC wasn't connected to the internet so I changed my password online on my laptop hoping that I could then log in on my PC but when I returned to my PC that's when I realized it wasn't showing a connection to my PC.

I really really need help with this because as of right now I'm totally locked out of my computer and I have really important work/school files on there. I need to get back on my PC as soon as possible, if anyone can help I'll be refreshing this page non stop.

    :)

    Microsoft Edge TLS Security

After trying everything (not a lot of steps) listed in the Microsoft Edge support site, I did a wider search and found this very simple youtube video that fixed it immediately:

For those who prefer not to click links the steps are simple:

    1. Click in the Cortana search bar next to the Win 10 Start button

    2. Type internet options

    3. Select internet options (control panel) from the list

    4. Click on the advanced tab

    5. Scroll down to the security section

    6. Make sure the following are all clicked:
    Use SSL 3.0
    Use TLS 1.0
    Use TLS 1.1
    Use TLS 1.2

    7. Click apply

    8. Refresh the page that was giving the error and it should now connect.

Hope this helps, it was a 30 second fix after hours of pounding my head against the error with the Support site suggestions.

That made me so facepalm. Some people have absolutely no clue. I hope they don't take you for granted with all this you're doing for them.

SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.
