Windows 10: Microsoft solitaire collection ads: how do I pay to get rid of them?

Just recently I have started getting ads for other Microsoft games when I try to play Solitaire. I have got fed up with waiting until the ad finishes, so asked to pay the extra £12.49 annual sub. However on the next screen I get an error message saying


"Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help. The error code is 0x80070057, in case you need it.

[CV:d74gzpdUWkSuZJXq17.3]"


Well, I have waited and now tried five times. I wish to pay but can't. This is becoming very irritating. What can I do?

Microsoft Solitaire Collection

I want to get rid of the horrible, raucus violent LOUD ads for a load of drek that appear before I'm ABLE TO PLAY in the Microsoft Solitaire Collection. It's my main pastime and I'm otherwise shut in.

I've seen that I have to pay microsoft to get rid of it, and that's a fraud. I often have to eat only 1 meal a day so can't afford to pay anything. I would prefer to go back to the Solitaire Collection that was on before this one, where there were NO ads
and slot machine type rubbish. It was better all round.

Can this be done...and how.... I know nothing about computers as you guys may well know by now.

Step 1: Run App troubleshooter.

Check this link for the app troubleshooter.

Step 2: Run Windows Update troubleshooter.

Please see this link for the steps.

Step 3: Uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

Click Start.

In the search box, type Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

Right click Microsoft Solitaire collection app tile, and the select Uninstall.

Restart your computer.

Right click Start.

Select Run.

Type wsreset.exe, and then press Enter. The Microsoft Store will open so you can reinstall Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

Step 4: Make sure your firewall/anti-virus isn’t blocking the app.

The steps to unblock the game (or any app that needs to access Xbox Live) will vary depending on the antivirus or firewall software you use. Check the documentation for your antivirus or firewall software to open settings and ensure that the software is not
blocking the app. If your antivirus or firewall has an app white list, make sure that your Xbox Live-enabled games are on this list.

Step 5: Clear your Windows Store cache.

Right click Start.

Select Run.

Type wsreset.exe and press enter. This will launch Windows Store with a cleared cache. You can check if Solitaire error goes away after doing this.

Ads on Microsoft Solitaire Collection

On Dec 23 I paid $14.99 to delete ads from the solitaire game collection. The charge is pending on my credit card. However, an error message popped up (0x80070490) that said something went wrong on your end. The ads continue. Even tried to pay again, but
a message says I've already paid. Customer support and xbox support could not help, but sent me here. Un-installing and re-installing the solitaire collection did not fix the problem. Canyou help?
