  1. Microsoft Store and its apps won't open

    Many months ago, after restoring my PC via Windows' confingurations, the Microsoft Store and its apps stopped working at all they wouldn't even open. I decided to wait for updates, hopping for the resolution of the problem. After long waiting, the problem persisted. I decided to restore the computer again and after I performed the Fresh Start. Still, Microsoft Store and its apps won't open.

    Among the procedures I performed, there were:

    • Check for connection problems and make sure that you're signed in with a Microsoft account.
    • Make sure Windows has the latest update: Select Start , then select Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates.
    • Check your time and location settings: Select Start , then select Settings > Time & Language. Select Date & time to verify your time settings and select Region to check your location. These settings need to show your current location and time zone.
    • Reset the Microsoft Store cache: Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.

    Microsoft Store doesn't launch

    None of the procedrues worked and wsreset.exe resulted in the error "ms-windows-storeMicrosoft Store and its apps won't open :purgeCaches" appearing.

    Then I performed the following procedures:

    First download all the manufacturer's drivers and update your device. Then perform the procedures below for a possible solution.

    • Right-click on the taskbar;
    • Click on Properties and make sure that in the Navigation tab the option “Replace Command Prompt with Windows PowerShell in the menu when I right-click in the lower left corner or press the Windows + X key” is checked.
    • Simultaneously press the Win + X keys or right click on the Windows symbol and click on Windows PowerShell Admin, click “yes” and copy the following command: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$ $ _. InstallLocation \ AppXManifest.xml"}
    • When you right click on PowerShell it will stick. Press Enter and wait for it to finish.
    • Again in PowerShell copy and paste the following command: Get-appxpackage -all * shellexperience * -packagetype bundle % {add-appxpackage -register -disabledevelopmentmode $ _. Installlocation + “C: \ Program Files \ WindowsApps \ Microsoft.Windows. ShellExperienceHost_1.0.0.2_neutral_ShellExperienceHost.laac0539cc_8wekyb3d8bbwe \ AppxManifest.xml ”}
    • Press Enter and check the behavior.

    If the behavior persists I suggest that you perform the steps below in the order they are. Remember to test the behavior at the end of each step.

    Step 1

    Disable all third-party programs, that is, a Clean Startup, to see if any of the programs installed on your computer may be causing this behavior.

    For clean boot follow the steps below:

    1. On the Desktop, simultaneously press the Windows + R keys to open Run;
    2. In Run type MSCONFIG and click OK to open the System Configuration;
    3. On the Services tab, check the option Hide all Microsoft services and click Disable All;
    4. Click Apply and OK;
    5. Restart the computer.

    NOTE: This procedure disables all third party services and programs. You can later, if the problem is solved in this way, selectively enable the programs and services that will start with Windows, instead of keeping all disabled. If the problem returns after activating the startup of a specific service or program, the problem is exactly in the startup of this software and it is recommended to remove it.

    Step 2

    Clean up temporary system files:

    1. On the Desktop, simultaneously press the Windows + R hot keys to open Run.
    2. Now type TEMP and click OK.
    3. The TEMP folder will open, please permanently delete all files inside the folder, if some files are not deleted it will be normal as they may be in use.
    4. Again press the Windows + R hot keys simultaneously to open Run.
    5. Type% TEMP% and click OK.55 The% TEMP% folder will open, please permanently delete all files inside the folder, if some files are not deleted it will be normal as they may be in use.
    6. Again press the Windows + R hot keys simultaneously to open Run.
    7. Type Prefetch and click OK.
    8. The Prefetch folder will open, please permanently delete all files inside the folder, if some files are not deleted it will be normal as they may be in use.

    Step 3

    Run the System File Checker SFC.exe to search for and fix corrupted files:

    1. Simultaneously click the Windows + X keys;
    2. In the options that appear, click on Command Prompt Admin;
    3. At the Command Prompt screen, type SFC / SCANNOW and press Enter this will take a few minutes.

    After running this tool, a report will be presented with the files corrected or not.

    If the tool does not work, create a new user account and check the behavior.

    Step 4

    To create a new account follow the steps below

    1. Simultaneously click the Windows + X keys;

    2. In the options that appear, click on Command Prompt Admin; In the Command Prompt type the following lines:

    • net user teste /add enter
    • net localgroup administradores teste /add enter

    Log in with the Test account and check the behavior.

    Again, the problem persisted.

    I also tried making "Windows License Manager Service" initialization automatic: didn't work also.

    I tried other procedures, but I don't recall all of them.

    At the moment, Microsoft Store and its apps pop up and close immediately.

    I'm having this problem for about a year. I don't know what else to do.

    :)
