Windows 10: Microsoft Store -- Beta Software Download fails with error code 0x80040154

Good evening,

some days ago I was invited to a closed beta of Age Of Empires 2: DE. The Insider-Hub includes a listing for the game and a link to the game in the Microsoft Store. I was able to download a part of the game (a few GB) before my internet connection disconnected. Resuming the download was not possible so I removed it and tried again. It terminated with error code 0x8007001F. After a reboot I saw only a "Try again later" error after clicking install. I've already asked in the AoE forums here: https://forums.ageofempires.com/t/windows-store-install-error-code-0x8007001f/56175


I'm looking forward to any other suggestions. Maybe even a Microsoft technican. The people I spoke with from the Microsoft support team were not able to help me. They suggested asking on reddit or here.

Registry Error - Windows Update - Error Code 0x80040154


Hello all,
I have an issue with my WIndows Updates, I am getting error code 0x80040154 and all the sites I checked did not help.

Here is my Windows Update log:

Checked in the Registry and here is what is listed
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Services\Pending\117cab2d-82b1-4b5a-a08c-4d62dbee7782

I have tried everything to get it to the correct location without any luck.

SFC / DISM / ResetWUEeng / WinFixit / and the list goes on.

I also deleted it and broke my computer and could not restore it. Had to start all over again and still received the same error message.

Does anybody have any suggestions. Thanks.

Good day all - after letting all the downloads processes, I still received the same error message - here is a screen shot of the downloadsWindowsUpdate.log that were installed, screenshot of the registry and copy of the windows update log showing where service 117cab2d-82b1-4b5a-a08c-4d62dbee7782 first appeared. I think my next step will be to do a RESET and see if the system will make corrections.

Odd, it seemed to go full circle back to this, a possible botched MS update... Registry Error - Windows Update - Error Code 0x80040154


Make a good image backup of your system. Like Mike suggested, Macrium is an excellent choice.
