Windows 10: Microsoft Store can't download Apps or updates.

I'm going to start off by saying that I already saw this post^, and I followed the steps that people answered with, but my store still isn't functioning.
My problem is that I can't download anything through the MS store. When I press the install button for an app, the button disappears, and nothing happens. I've also tried to get updates with the Get Updates button, and it just sits there loading, with nothing happening.
I've had this problem for months now, without anything fixing it so far.

In case that the troubleshooter didn’t help on this matter, we suggest that you reset the Microsoft Store. Kindly follow the steps:

• Press Windows + R keys to run the command box.
• Type WSReset, then try downloading the app again.

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store
