Windows 10: Microsoft Store cant update certain apps

I need to update Forza Horizon 4, which i know the latest update is only 1.2 GB, but it has been stuck at this stage the whole time.

And if it did start, it doesnt show any progress bar which leads to an infinte download.




Things that i've did:

- Resigning my account.

- Resetting the Windows Store app, restart.
- WSReset.exe.

- Troubleshooter. Does absolutely nothing. Even if it found something that doesnt relate to my current problem, it wont fix it.

- Go to services.msc to enable and switch to automatic starts of some services.

- Re-registering all windows store apps via Powershell. Got alot of red messages.

- Reinstalling store via Powershell.

- Resetting the Software Distribution thingy with cmd. Doesnt work as well.


Also i've used Fiddler to see if the download has started, and it totally hasnt. And if it did it'll just downloads me the full game which i dont need. I only need the update.


Whatever solution there is, i would prefer not to go as far as reinstalling the game and wasting all my bandwith, or resetting my whole Windows or doing a repair install and lose all my data, preferences, also the time doing it.

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

Since running the troubleshooter for Windows app didn't work, we suggest resetting Windows Store by following the steps below to resolve your issue:

• Type Apps & features on search box/Cortana and click on it.
• Look for Microsoft Store app and click on Advance options.
• Click Reset button and retest.
