Windows 10: Microsoft Store download slows down to nothing

Over the past 2 months I've had an issue with my Microsoft store Downloads. When the download starts it has a reasonable speed but slowly degrades to downloading nothing at all. I've tried many of the solutions across the forum for "Slow downloads" but have not had any of them work. I also do not have any issues downloading from any other platforms Steam, Battle.net, etc.. What i did find is that using a VPN is the only way to keep a consistent download speed for the Microsoft store. Does anyone have any idea why the only solution i have found so far is the use of a VPN? Hoping for a better solution than this. Thanks Tons!

Downloading is Slow from Store.

From the description, I understand that Windows store downloads slowly.

Step 1:

I suggest you to clear Windows Store cache and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows logo key + R.
• Type wsreset.exe on Run window and press enter.
• Check if issue persists.

You may try the following steps and check:



Step 2:

Try to run the sfc scan and check if the Windows store downloads faster:

Run a System File Checker (SFC) scan to check for any file corruption.
SFC scan will scan for corrupt system files on the computer and repair them.

• Press Windows key + X, click
  Command Prompt (Admin).
• In the Command Prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
  
  sfc /scannow

• The latest update I have showing is "2018-02 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64 based system KB4074588"
• I've tried all the below steps suggested by Eeshwar Kumar in this link: Why is Windows Store's download speed so slow?
• And also all by Jane La in the below: Microsoft Store Very Low Download Speeds

Some users have reported that they're experiencing some computer issues after installing KB4074588. In this case, we suggest uninstalling the said update by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + i to open Settings, then select
  Update & security.
• Click Update history.
• Under Update history, click Uninstall updates.
• Highlight KB4074588, then click Uninstall (beside Organize).
