Windows 10: Microsoft Store install error 0x80070003

Yesterday I opened up Minecraft for Windows 10 which I had previously updated to v 1.16 which I played on for a couple of days and somehow it downgraded to the 1.14 hotfix. A couple of seconds into loading the app, it crashed and was then uninstalled somehow. I first checked to see if I had some malware or virus on my PC that was manipulating this app, which was not the case. When I went to install Minecraft again from the Microsoft Store it reached 1.84 MB of 1.84 MB which does not seem like the correct app size for Minecraft, said the installation was finished, and then returned the error 0x80070003. I have tried multiple fixes from posts ranging back to ~4 years, but none of them have worked. Some of my other apps from the Microsoft Store have also been acting up on my account, while other accounts on my PC have not faced this issue. Does anybody have advice on how to fix this, and is there a more serious problem beneath my apps acting up?

I suggest you to follow the steps given in the link below and check if it helps you. Select Windows 8.1 from the Product list.

Error 0x80070003 in Windows Store

Hi everyone, hope this is an appropriate place to post this for help. So I have a Lenovo laptop. I get this error when Windows Store tries to update the Lenovo Settings app (and a few other apps, but not all my apps). This is really annoying as I set a battery charge threshold using the app and I can't change it without accessing the app, and when I click on it, it just flickers and doesn't open. I went through the steps in this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...-update-errors (which I found via this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...-or-0x80070003), but it didn't solve the problem (please note that I couldn't do step 2 as in the past I've rolled back to a previous version of Windows 10). The last step is to reinstall Windows. Obviously I'm very reluctant to do this as it means I have to copy all of my files and reinstall all my apps, so I was thinking that first, if possible, I should try installing the Anniversary Update. Since I've rolled back from it in the past, can I re-update to it without reinstalling the whole OS (which is what I'm told to do anyway)? If not, I've heard there's a new version of Windows 10 coming in April, so I might just wait for that and see if that fixes it.

 

Windows Store keep on failing to update with 0x80070003

Many thanks for your response. I tried doing the steps you have suggested but still I cannot update my apps in Windows Store. Like now currently I have 4 apps which keep on failing to update with the error code 0x80070003.
Then when I try clicking check for updates it will add 3 more apps. Then I will try to update the 7 apps, the 3 newly added apps say completed but the 4 apps still have the Error Try that again, with the error code above. I will try to update again, and the
same thing happens even after trying all the steps you have suggested.
