Windows 10: Microsoft Store Not Downloading App Instead Asking For Me To Sign In Over and Over

I'm trying to install the Xbox accessories app. But it keeps prompting for me to log in. The new tab opens, I dial my password then the tab disappears. I'm on a windows 10 computer, but it's from 2015. How do I get around this dilemma.

There's a possibility that you are currently signed in on your computer using your local account. For us to sort this out, we suggest that you sign in with your Microsoft account instead. Follow these steps:

• Open Settings > Accounts > Your email and accounts.
• Select Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once signed in with your Microsoft account on your computer, try signing into the Windows Store app.

Sign in with a Microsoft account instead

I have a Local Account and want to, "Sign in with a Microsoft account instead". I go through all of the required steps including entering my Username and Password. Microsoft accepts everything, then ask me to enter my password one final time. I very carefully enter it exactly as I did before and Microsoft says its not correct. Any help wold be appreciated.
