Windows 10: Microsoft store should be redone

Microsoft should either completely redo microsoft store from the base or ditch it. Its lack of programs, bad design and interface makes it really one of the worst build in apps of Windows 10. None of the people use microsoft store to get any useful programs. Its interface is meant to be touch friendly but it feels more like a mobile app rather than a desktop app. You can't even directly install apps from the store. You have to click on "Get" first and wait some time and install it and most of the time it is followed by bugs. The games available in the store is the worst of all. You mainly only get terrible games that are mostly made for mobile devices. Most people use windows as a desktop not a tablet. Hardly any people use microsoft store and some pople even don't know that it exists. Photoshop being one of the most popular programs has only 72 reviews. Thats how bad microsoft store really is. The microsoft store should be containing different web browsers, antivirus software, editing softwares, etc. Instead it contains mostly bloatware.


However, there is a solution to fix the microsoft store. In linux, there is a software store available for its users. You don't have to go to the internet and search for it. The mobile-interface games in microsoft store should be completely removed and it should only be focused on providing software and programs. If linux could make a software store for its users, how can't windows be able to do such a simple thing?

The installation is the big issue of solving this problem. Since installing the program requires user's reading and accepting the trms and services and users options on how to install the program, there are two possible solutions for this.
1. Installing the program could just install the setup file and popping up the setup file right after the installation of the program. This is still better than searching for setup file on the internet.
2. The terms of use of program and its method of installation could be popped up right after clicking the download button and by clicking accept button the download and installation could be completed right away from the store.

Also , some programs could contain adware. The program could be scanned by microsoft before submitting it in the store. If the program contains any form of adware, the program should not be included in the program store.
The microsoft store should be called a program store to make it more familier and should not have a complete mobile interface it should be more like hybrid interface between desktop and touch like "settings" app. Getting a program store on windows 10 instead of microsoft store could reduce the chances of getting malware on device.

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

To resolve your concern about Windows Store, we suggest for you to follow these steps:

• Press Windows key + R key to open Run.
• Type wsreset.exe and press
  Enter.
• Restart the PC, sign in with your Microsoft user account and check if you are able to find Windows Store.

Next and follow on-screen instructions.

Step 2: I suggest you to install all the pending updates on your device.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.
