Windows 10: Microsoft Store won't download or update Games and Apps

Hello,


I recently received a 3 Month Game Pass Access from Discord Nitro and decided to install No Man's Sky as a test. Well, at first it started, downloaded about 4GB and then didn't continue. I stopped the download, tried restarting the download, but then nothing happened after I chose the install destination I chose D: Drive because it has the most free space on my PC. Since then I couldn't install anything anymore.


I then looked up if this was a common problem, followed all the instructions I could find using Powershell, using the CMD prompt, stopping and resetting the Store, restarting my PC, etc. yet still nothing happened. The last instruction I could find was that I need to install updates for already-installed apps, but I can't even update them because it just keeps loading.

when I download a game from the Microsoft store it won`t play

the splash screen appears then goes

I have a core i5 with an nvidivia graphics card I tb hdd and 8 gb ram

I have tried the diagnostic for microsoft store and it say cache may need fixing.

Store Settings "Update apps automatically" won`t stay switched off. WHY?

The possible reason why Update apps automatically turn back on is that the Store app is running in the background. We suggest that you turn off the Store app. This way, it won't receive any updates or send notifications unless opened or turned on
manually.

To turn off Store app, follow these steps:

• Click the Windows logo, then go to Settings.
• Click Privacy, then Background apps.
  
• On the list, locate Store and toggle it off.
