Windows 10: Microsoft Studio Mouse wheel stopped scrolling

A while ago, my Microsoft Studio Mouse's scroll wheel stopped working. I checked the drivers and they are up to date. I tried to change the characteristics from "one screen at a time" to "multiple windows at a time" just to see if changing the settings would wake it up. No luck. I changed the batteries to make sure it was fully powered. No difference. How can I get the scroll wheel working again?

• Click Start > Settings.
• Go to Devices > Mouse & touchpad.
• Under Choose how many lines to scroll each time, move the slider to the right to make the speed of your mouse wheel faster.

Mouse Wheel Scroll Too Fast


Hi,
I have a Microsoft Keyboard & Mouse 2000, but, each time I slow the speed of the scrolling using the mouse wheel it works fine, until I reboot the PC. Then, on restarting the speed is super fast again (too fast to really control).
Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

Mouse wheel scrolling is stuttering

Have you tried the mouse on a different computer? It might be CPU/GPU load on the computer. Even Microsoft's default GPU driver can cause major stutter when scrolling with a wheel, regardless of mouse.
