  1. Microsoft Support

    G'day,

I had nothing but a Black Screen when I Booted Up my Window's 10. I asked for support from the Community. I received several suggestion. I tried to fix the problem myself but decided after three day of trying I would go online to get Technical Support. They took some time to get to talk to a person. The first assistant was very helpful and polite. After trying to regain my Windows 10, it was decided to do a clean Down Load. The assistant was able to use my Windows 7 computer and down loaded the program. When we tried to install it we were unable too. The assistant elevated the problem to a higher level. She told me that this person would be able to help. The assistant first needed to copy all the files. Because it would take some time the second assistant would call me back. I did not receive a call. This morning I got up early to phone Micrsoft again. I was told that they do not start until 10 am on a weekend. I phoned at ten and eventually got onto a person. I explained what had happened. I was told that they would send an e-mail to the appropriate person. They were supposed to phone me within one or two hours. After four hours I decided to phone Microsoft again. This time I had to wait for over one hour. Listening to somebody talking about Windows. Eventually I had a person to explain the situation too. I was told that to hold the phone as they would put me onto an assistant. I held on listening to music for about thirty minutes and then silence. I decided to put down the phone. Am I just a one off case or does that happen all the time?

    :)

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

  3. B3 Phenom support

I checked gigabyte's site on my GA-M57 and it didn't say anything about b3 stepping update, but all of the x3 chips are b3 steppings, so just use the x3 support bios if available.

    Microsoft Edge TLS Security

After trying everything (not a lot of steps) listed in the Microsoft Edge support site, I did a wider search and found this very simple youtube video that fixed it immediately:

For those who prefer not to click links the steps are simple:

    1. Click in the Cortana search bar next to the Win 10 Start button

    2. Type internet options

    3. Select internet options (control panel) from the list

    4. Click on the advanced tab

    5. Scroll down to the security section

    6. Make sure the following are all clicked:
    Use SSL 3.0
    Use TLS 1.0
    Use TLS 1.1
    Use TLS 1.2

    7. Click apply

    8. Refresh the page that was giving the error and it should now connect.

Hope this helps, it was a 30 second fix after hours of pounding my head against the error with the Support site suggestions.
