    Last year in December 2018 I had a tech support well what I thought fix my computer. He told me to disable everything Microsoft and it will

    reboot and we will be reconnected. I will send you an email he said. So I did what I was told. My computer did not reboot. I could not get it to

    come back up at all. After 2 days of doing everything possible to try and fix this. From checking all wires having at@t come out along with other

    troublesome ideas. Finally I called a different Microsoft phone number. What had to happen was he reinstalled Windows 10 which took about an

    hour to do. Keep in mind that at this point my computer was only a year and a half old. Now I have to actually physically go to Windows Update

    to check to see if I have any updates. They don't automatically download on there own. Needless to say my computer has not been the same since.

    Needless to say the security has been unbearable.

    I have to say I have learned alot from these techs. But just a few days ago I called Microsoft and had some more work done on my computer and

    this tech wanted to do little as possible. Someone had hacked my computer. I had to ask him to run a scan that they run for viruses. He proceeded to

    say you know alot about computers and he seemed to not like that. While these test were running he said he would close the chat Window

    and is it safe to say your issue has been resolved. I said well no not really. So after the test were complete I notice he had not closed the chat Window

    until I had full access because I seen the mouse had been moving around. Later that day I had to call back with the same problem unfortunately the

    same tech. I notice my desk top wallpaper had been changed my profile pic had been changed. When I called back all he did was sit there in dead

    silence for a while. I said hello, hello no answer what so ever. Finally I just hung up. When I called back I told them what happened and just as I

    thought when I was transferred all the phone did was ring and ring and ring. Now I just don't trust no one. Terrible for business and very unprofessional.

    Then the next day I received a phone call from Microsoft and they just hung up. That wasn't no scam. Til this day my computer still isn't fixed. This guy will not transfer me to anyone else. My computer is a Windows 10 and I get messages acting as if it was Windows 7. This just really sickens me to no end.

  2. Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


    I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

    Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
    We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
    I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
    Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

    1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
    2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
    3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.
    Step 2:
    I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    Step 3:
    It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

    Microsoft Edge TLS Security


    After trying everything (not a lot of steps) listed in the Microsoft Edge support site, I did a wider search and found this very simple youtube video that fixed it immediately:

    For those who prefer not to click links the steps are simple:

    1. Click in the Cortana search bar next to the Win 10 Start button

    2. Type internet options

    3. Select internet options (control panel) from the list

    4. Click on the advanced tab

    5. Scroll down to the security section

    6. Make sure the following are all clicked:
    Use SSL 3.0
    Use TLS 1.0
    Use TLS 1.1
    Use TLS 1.2

    7. Click apply

    8. Refresh the page that was giving the error and it should now connect.

    Hope this helps, it was a 30 second fix after hours of pounding my head against the error with the Support site suggestions.
