Windows 10: Microsoft update December 2018 crashed my computer

I have a 3 week old Lenovo Legion T530 desktop computer. This is the first Windows update and it has crashed my machine. It will not boot and I just get the Blue screen with various options that do not work.

Thank you Microsoft for screwing up a new computer and possibly my Christmas.


It's 21.30 where I live so too late to do anything tonight.


Perhaps when I wak up in the morning some Microsoft person may offer me some advice as to how I can get my machine back up?

Microsoft update December 2018

Since a Windows update on 12th December 2018, my computer has been running, or is that crawling(?) along at a ridiculously slow pace.

Why is this and what can be done to get back normal speed?

 

Cumulative December update

I tried to download and install the December Cumulative Update from the website you had listed and did not have any luck. I received error messages stating that it would not install and it still has not come through windows update. Do you have any other
suggestions?
