Windows 10: Microsoft update KB4549951

I installed this update successfully on April 14,2020 and it installed correctly. I just read people where having a lot of problems with it! My computer is running fine so far no problems yet what do I do it is past the uninstall date. Will there be a fix coming out soon ?Should I just leave it in until a fix comes? I don't want to reformat, Thanks

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

KB4549951 causing issues

On one of my Win 10 laptops, post the update (KB4549951), I discovered there was no internet connection.

The laptop was connected to my router on WiFi, but there was no internet connectivity. [Other machines were working fine].

I discovered that the IPv4 settings (static IP, DNS Server, Gateway) on the updated laptop had been wiped clean.

Setting these details correctly immediately fixed my problem immediately.
