    Hello, after update i don't have icons anymore, they white.

    For Git Extensions app for example i have next behavior: If i unpin program icon appears, if i pin back it disappear, and then menu is gone.

    I had updated win 8.1 to win 10 month ago, and Start icons disappear. But i had desktop/taskbar icons. Today win 10 got update, and now i have described issue.

    Hi!

    The following is a trick from another user:

    “Go to "Windows Defender security center"

    2. Click "Add an allowed app"

    3. Select C: --> Windows --> Explorer and click Open

    4. "Explorer.exe" appears as allowed app

    5. Problem solved !”

    USB Notification icon gone from the Taskbar

    I would suggest checking the task bar settings to start with. Right-click the task bar and select the very bottom option 'Taskbar Settings' then look for the blue/purple lettered option 'Choose which icons appear in notification area'. The safely remove hardware option should be among those options. Hope this helps, but in an attempt to be a tad bit more helpful, see the following screen shot:
