    Microsoft Windows Update Issues

I am so distraught, everything was working fine, printer, word, Internet.

All of a sudden, my Brother Printer MFC J220 was not functioning and the icon for it under devices went missing, I had this very good printer for several years and thought it was dying. As I use my printer for various and sundry printed matter where I live, I needed one. I sent my printer to the recycling andsearched for a new one. I purchased the HP Envy 5055 all-in-one. I then find out the printer functionality/issues was caused because of Windows Update and to-date I do not see fixes forall the issues they have caused.

I attempted to uninstall the updates noted on the web that were the noted causes to see if I could get back to normal, but it was futile as the system would not let me delete the updates. I had to contact Windows to get technical support to help me. I told her I was worried about installing another printer for fear the updates may cause the same problem with a new printer.

The Customer Service representative deleted the updates that were suppose to have caused all these issues and did a system restore. I installed the HP printer and it seems to be working. It seems okay, but no way does it compare to my Brother printer, plus my Brother printer cartridges where much less expensive than HP’s.

During this entire update issue, I have encountered other issues: Monitor flickering, Microsoft Word program not opening and cannot access word document intermittently, Gmail having issues email photo’s do not load, EXTREMLY slow Internet connectivity, etc. etc.

I am not technical, I’m a Senior on a very low income and I should not have had to purchase another printer!

I don’t know about anyone else, but I feel I should be compensated for the expense Microsoft has caused me during this whole ordeal!

I am NOT technical and this is causing a lot of issues.

How do I fix all these errors and issues?

Don’t leave your customers hanging Microsoft!

    :)
