Let's stay calm folks. Consider that Softpedia is not the best source for information and they tend to have "dramatic" head lines to attract readers. I'd take everything they say/write with a huge grain of salt.

    i agree
because edge is so smooth and faster than chrome, firefox, etc.
well, but that's have some problem, like adblocker, can't save image by drag it to windows explorer, and some web can't be opened by this browser.

  3. One big reason I choose firefox over edge is cortana will display google search results if firefox is set as the default.

    - apparently there are big improvements to Edge on the way..
Upcoming accessibility improvements for Microsoft Edge revealed

sounds like some people won't be happy until Google/Chrome issues it's own OS to replace Win10 entirely..
honestly - why would anyone buy a Rolls Royce and then bung a Morris Minor engine in it.. *Confused

    - er.. no offence to Morris Minor owners intended, BTW..

Good that they do that, since Edge is the best browser atm. I've used IE since it was released and this was the first time I've switched to another browser.

I tried both of those sites on a 7 Year old computer with Windows 10 and Edge, No temporarily jerky, both smooth, did the same with Chrome, roughly the same, Explorer was slower, Oh and this computer is on the outer edge of my Network signal. Maybe you have some other problem.

I am sure Microsoft doesnt want me using my Android, my Linux boxes, or my MacBook Pro either. But Chrome runs on all of them, and with everything synced to my google account, I get the same experience no matter which platform I am on. That is why I use Chrome.

That's only with a web browser, Microsft is doing the whole operating system on various devices, that's probably why they're asking people to give it a go, so they can find bugs etc, just today they've asked me twice if different websites have performed okay, and I said yes.

Well it could be because I use IE as my primary(always have since it came out) and the caches are "primed" meaning it doesn't have much to load, only the changes(i.e. text), where as I use Edge only once in a while(just don't like the feel of it, but that's the same with many browsers I've tried and uninstalled, like Vivaldi, Opera, Maxthon, and, and ,and).

Edge seems to be very good, however I do not use my browser/s to watch ads or search with only one search engine. Until that is sorted no Edge for me. IE11 is what I use and will continue to do so. If MS stops IE11 use before Edge is sorted I will go back to Chrome and FF. Microsoft has a lot at stake here and should give heed to what their users want.

I've tried dozens of Browsers over the years, for me it's mainly about speed, naturally favourites, security and stuff come into play as well. I used Firefox for a long time, but it fell by the wayside a few years ago and I used mainly Explorer and Chrome. Edge felt a bit plain to me at first but I liked the speed so am willing to be a Guinea pig and keep testing it just like I'm an insider. If I felt it was at all slow I wouldn't be using it, I hate slow anything.

From what I've seen in Windows 10 Microsoft is definitely listening, probably a bit too much sometimes, I think we'll get everything we want in Edge and more.

After reading all of the posts in this thread and having used Chrome for years I thought I would give Edge a try again.
I imported all of my Favorites. OK. then set it to display the Favorites Bar. OK
The settings screen looks just like Chrome and FireFox.
Then after going in and out of Edge the bookmarks bar disappeared!
Then it never ask to save the passwords!
Then tried to get the bookmarks bar back and would not work.
I will try again after the Fall Update and see what happens.
Until then I will stick with Chrome. Oh and right now chrome sometimes fails to launch sites. But on my Windows 8 system all works well. I feel that MS is causing this in windows 10.

Some of the issues you mention have been addressed in the insider builds. In 10565 Edge is better than the RTM version,.
