Windows 10: Microsoft Windows Photos Applications

Very frustrated. Created video in Microsoft Photos and showing no TRIM button or even any FADE? Also, I saw a question in online chat saying press the three dots....you will see Save, etc...when I click the 3 dots I get Duplicate project, back-up project, Themes, 16.9 Landscape, Send Feedback and Settings. NO WARE IS TRIM. I would appreciate any answers or I might call MS directly. Few years ago we had Movie Maker. We have to have video done by this weekend. Thanks in advance for any feedback. - Brian

WINDOWS 10 MICROSOFT PHOTO APP

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

The Photos app brings together pictures from all your devices using OneDrive, so that you can browse them by date, album or folder. It also automatically enhances photos, and creates albums for you, to showcase your best shots.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to change the Default apps in the setting app and verify the result. You may follow the steps in the below:

• Go to settings and system.
  
• Click on Default Apps and select the appropriately.
  

Method 2:

I suggest you to reinstall Photo app using the PowerShell command
and reinstall using the Windows store. Follow the below steps.

• Open the　Start　menu, type　Windows PowerShell　in the search bar.
  
• Right click on the　Windows　PowerShell　and select　Run as　administrator.
  
• Enter the below command to uninstall the Photo app.
  

• 　　get-appxpackage　　*Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage

Hi Catherine,

We would like to know more information about this concern. Please answer the following questions:

• Have you tried opening some of the pictures to a different computer?
• Is there any error message when you open a picture?
• Is it only happening with photos?

We also suggest that you reset Photos application by following these steps:

• Click Windows icon.
• Choose Settings or Gear icon.
• Go to System.
• Click Apps & features then click Photos.
• Select Advanced options then Reset.

Unable to export videos using Photos application

Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are unable to export videos using Photo application, let us try few troubleshooting steps to fix this issue.

Refer the article on Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store.
If the issue persists, I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall Photo application.

To do that,

1. Click on Start icon.
2. Type Windows PowerShell.
3. Right click on it and select Run as administrator.
4. Type the following command and press Enter: Get-AppxPackage *Photos* | Remove-AppxPackage

Restart the computer and reinstall Microsoft Photos app from Microsoft Store.
