    microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_8wekyb3d8bbwe - keeps getting virus

    This file

    AppData\Local\Packages\microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Files\S0


    keeps getting multiple files PDF & WORD often in it that contains malware & Trojans. I believe this folder is connected to the Windows 10 Mail App - is there a vulnerability that hackers are exploring?


    Avast Premium catches many and puts them into the virus chest for me but a few seem to still get into the above named folder?


    I have also done many types of full/deep scans with avast and Malware-bytes and they never find any other problems.


    I have reset the Mail App after these long full scans but still these attacks are happening, even when the Mail App isn't open?


    This is very frustrating and from what I see a common problem with this folder: AppData\Local\Packages\microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Files\S0

    Apparantly, Microsoft posted a list of files that can be "Excluded" from any Anti-Virus that you use to help with scanning performance.
