  1. MIDI Keyboard worked Friday, didn't work Sunday

Hello. This is my first post. I am desperate. I am posting here because this appears to be a Windows problem.

I have the a CASIO PX-575R. I previously installed the appropriate drivers and the keyboard was working fine. I've recorded with it multiple times, last using it Friday (7/20/18). I only started using it for MIDI about a month ago. I returned to record more Sunday and...nothing. FL Studio doesn't recognize it. My computer doesn't appear to recognize it. So I did the following things:
Restarting my computer and FL Studio (music program I use)
Uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them
    Used a different MIDI cable
Used another MIDI device with the same and different cables (worked fine)

The keyboard turns on fine and works alone (it's a standalone keyboard with external power). It just stopped working as a MIDI device and now the computer doesn't recognize it. It also doesn't come up in the Device Manager.

So tonight I tried to install the drivers on my girlfriend's computer and was given a message stating that would not install on this version of Windows. This is the same version as my computer - Windows 10. So look into it more and I find these:
    https://support.casio.com/en/support/os ... =008002002 (https://support.casio.com/en/support/osdevicePage.php?cid=008002002)
    https://support.casio.com/en/support/in ... 08&pid=614 (https://support.casio.com/en/support/information.php?cid=008&pid=614)

They appear to indicate that the drivers don't work with Windows 10. How!? It just worked last week! Anyways, I know I had a Windows update last week. Here is the website description for the update:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... ash-player (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4338832/security-update-for-adobe-flash-player)

I greatly, GREATLY appreciate any and all help. I've felt quite deflated. I don't know what's going on.

    :)

Windows 10 Midi Keyboard not working

I have this exactly same problem with the same device.

With my Windows 7 computer there were never problems but with Windows 10, the MIDI keyboard works a few moments and after that I have to disable&enable the device from the Device Manager or reconnect the device cable. This is very annoying. At the same time,
my other MIDI keyboard works perfectly even with Windows 10.

  3. Windows 10 Midi Keyboard not working

I too am having problems with two midi keyboards-both are recognized but neither of their USB midi interfaces work. The units are class complient and have windows 10 64 bit drivers. I do notbelieve the problem is with them as they both work on a windows
7 machine, the problem is with the latest upgrade on windows 10.

Windows 10 Midi Keyboard not working

Here is some more detail on what I did to solve the issue.

First I connected all of my midi devices at once regardless of it they work or not. I did this so device manager shows me what is really going on in the next step. I have quite a few devices doing midi or usb.

Second I started control panel, went into device manager, changed view to show hidden devices and expanded down the sound, video, and game controllers. I right clicked and uninstalled any midi devices that were grayed out
and had a non-grayed out duplicate, right before doing this make sure to unplug the devices your having issues with, windows will warn you to do so. This removed quite a few devices as windows
installs a new one every time a device is plugged into a different usb port is used even if it's the same device.

Third, I checked the Unistall Korg midi-device utility. You can get this from korg's website and it installs as part of their usb driver. It works even if you don't have korg devices and you can uninstall after you fix things. When I ran the installer
I verified that I had free midi ports below port 10 after the clean up from step 2. Before step two my problem devices were getting assigned midi ports in the high teens/low 20's.

Fourth, I plugged in the problem devices and turned them on letting them reinstall. I then again ran the korg uninstall midi-devices utility and verified the problem devices grabbed a midi port under 10 which they did, for me I had three problem devices.
I verified all the problem devices now work.
