Windows 10: Migrate Quicken 2009 to Win10

Discus and support Migrate Quicken 2009 to Win10 in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I was able to load Quicken 2009 on my Win10 sys and it seems to work but I can't migrate the data from my XP sys to my Win10 sys.     Migrate Quicken 2009 to Win10


    I was able to load Quicken 2009 on my Win10 sys and it seems to work but I can't migrate the data from my XP sys to my Win10 sys. I do a backup on the XP sys and try to restore it on the Win10 sys but it says the file is invalid. Anybody been successful with this or have any suggestion? Thanks

    win7 to win10 upgrade failure

    Today I tried, probably for the 5th time, to upgrade my win7 machine to win10. I'm doing it through windows update. The result was basically the same, although I've tried lots of stuff.

    The basic problem each time is that almost none of my programs are migrated. So Word, Excel, etc., Quicken, Picasa, etc. etc. are either not there in win10 or are represented by generic icons. This time, though, I just learned about looking for the upgrade
    logs, so I looked at setupact.log and saw some interesting stuff: It seems all my migration failures are mentioned in messages like:

    MIG Object C:\Program Files (x86)\Quicken\qw.exe is excluded from migration because it is a system object.

    Can someone explain what a system object is in this context, and what I can change to make these files *not* system objects.

    reinstall Quicken 2013 on the same PC

    I had to get information from Quicken 2009 and so I reinstalled it. But I have lost my Quicken 2013 program. How do I reinstall it?

    Are you backing up Quicken and restoring or copying your .qdf file over. Can't help with 2009 but Quicken 2014 worked fine for me by just copying my data file over.

    What are the files that have to be moved? Is it only a (one?) database file? Or is there more to do?

    I tried using Quicken Backup and then Restore on the Win10 sys. I'll try just copying the .qdf file.

    I just have one database file and am just trying to migrate that one file.

    Migrate Quicken 2009 to Win10

    I was using a different version of Quicken on the Win10 sys, loaded the correct version and all is well now. Thanks for your help.
