Windows 10: Migrating from HDD to Samsung SSD

I cloned my windows from my HDD to my SSD, when I go into bios, the SSD doesn't show up when selecting boot device due to a signature collision. If I remove the HDD, it boots up fine from the SSD but I cannot format the HDD. The HDD seems to take automatic priority when it comes to the collision error.

You're looking at just under 75GB of data to migrate from your HDD to SSD so...
I'd suggest you use Todo Backup Free for migrations to SSDs. As "Word Man" mentioned, you get to choose if you want to move some or all of the partitions of a disk. I think you'll be ok to just migrate/clone the whole disk to the new SSD and then from it from the SSD to the other physical drive you mentioned having. If you have a Samsung SSD, use their Samsung Magician software to do the clone.

Migrating Win10 OEM Upgrade from HDD to SSD

I recently helped a friend with OEM Windows 7 Home Premium on his laptop upgrade to Windows 10. All went well with no probs - so laptop is currently running Windows 10 OEM.

He now wants to swap out the single HDD for a Samsung 850 Evo SSD. Can I simply migrate the HDD to the SSD, and then swap the SSD for the HDD - and Windows 10 OEM will still be activated?

I did something similar with my laptop (running Win10 Retail, upgraded from Win8.1 retail), using the Samsung migration software.

Will a similar job work with Win10 OEM?
