Windows 10: Mincraft nintendo switch gamertag does not work

Hello

I have recently changed my mincraft gamertag on my switch. In the site the gamertag changed but when i logged in to my switch it never work does it take time?

Q: Now that I have a Microsoft account, how do I sign into it from my Nintendo Switch?

a. On the Minecraft game home screen, click “Sign in with a Microsoft account”

b. It’ll bring up a screen to go to:
http://aka.ms/remoteconnect with a unique 8 digit code

c. Enter the URL on another device (PC or Mobile phone)

d. Follow the instructions on the website by entering the code and complete signing into your Microsoft account.

Q: How do I find my friends on their Microsoft account?

a. Now that you’ve signed into your Microsoft account, Click “Play” on the homescreen

b. Toggle to the right onto the “Friends” tab

c. Click the button to “Add Friend”

d. Find friends by entering their Microsoft Gamertag

Q: I keep entering my friend’s ID into Cross-Platform friends and can’t find them. Why?

Make sure you are entering your friend’s Gamertag correctly. Please note that you are only able to enter in a player ID for Microsoft’s Gamertag. Other player IDs from other platforms are not supported at this time.

Adding a friend on the Nintendo Switch disallowed on child account?

Hello. I would like to add myself (the adult in our Microsoft account family) to my son's Friends list on the Nintendo Switch.

He is already in the Family, and I've been over the Family FAQ to no avail.

How can I enable him to look up gamertags so he can have friends in Minecraft? It's not in any of the settings. We only even MADE Microsoft accounts so we could try to cross-platform play with the Switch and the in-house computers, and there seems to be no
way to manage that. This is very frustrating.
