Windows 10: Minecraft blocked by windows defender?

I try to open minecraft on my computer but it always reaches the loading page and stops responding. I have updated drivers, update the OS , I restarted my computer, I re downloaded both java and Minecraft but still nothing. I have no idea what to do

I haven't been able to find the correct folder or executable to add as an exclusion in Windows Defender to allow Quicken 2014 R9 to download transactions and update them to accounts properly. In order to accomplish this, I now have to turn off Windows Defender,
download my transactions, let them update to the proper accounts, then turn Windows Defender back on.

In order to allow Minecraft to run properly, I had to exclude the whole Minecraft folder within Windows Defender. Just excluding launcher.jar or minecraft.exe doesn't work.

I'd really prefer not to turn off Windows Defender in order to use Quicken, and I really don't want to exclude the whole Minecraft folder in order to use Minecraft.

Any suggestions?

 

Windows Defender is blocking too much saying it viruses

Based on the screenshot that you've provided, Controlled Folder Access is turned on, blocking most apps that you're using. We suggest that you turn it off to allow blocked apps in Windows Defender. Follow the steps below:

• Select Start > Settings.
• Choose Update & security > Windows Defender.
• Select Open Windows Defender Security Center.
• Select Virus & threat protection, and then choose Virus & threat protection settings.
• Under Controlled folder access, turn it on or off.
• Once done, try accessing the apps and see if you can now access them.

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server
